Wedding Styling: A Modern Luxe Grey & Violet Wedding

In celebration of Pantone Colour of the Year, this shoot was put together to provide inspiration and direction for the bride searching for the perfect modern luxe grey and violet themed wedding. And my oh my, isn’t she a stunner?!

I was fortunate enough to be asked to take part in this styled shoot by the lovely Chloe of Chloe Ely Photography (the creative genius behind the lens on this shoot!) and I am super pleased to announce that it now features on the Whimsical Wonderland Weddings blog!

Being part of the wedding industry has not only allowed me to work with some great clients and customers, but it has also given me the opportunity to work with fabulous suppliers too! As this was my first styled shoot since starting out in the stationery world, it was an amazing opportunity to gain some insight into other corners of this ever growing industry and an honour to work alongside a whole heap of talent.

All of the shots taken by Chloe captured each and every detail beautifully; from the gorgeous venue at Primrose Hill Farm to the intricate and beautiful hair accessories provided by Willow and Fern Bridal. I was blown away with her eye for composition and light, and working alongside her was the dream. My contribution to the modern luxe grey and violet theme, was of course, the stationery. I designed a suite just for the occasion to include a ‘Save the Date’ card, main invitation - with a matching guest information card and RSVP card - as well as menus and hand lettered agate slices as place names for the tablescape. The suite featured a wash of muted violet watercolour paint, an elegant calligraphy font and a simple illustration of the venue. Each piece was hand torn at the edges for a natural, rustic aesthetic in keeping with the rest of the shoot. The main invitation, guest information card and RSVP card were tied with a muted grey silk ribbon to finish.
